Ahh, nothing like a nice cuppa green tea to soothe the nerves and calm the soul. For what you may ask? Just look ahead...

The nefarious brew of yesterday's tom yuck failure simmering with instant noodles, that's what. When I took it out of the fridge everything had congealed into a nasty-looking bowl of seafood gelatin, which I suppose got cooked out of the red snapper. The green tea wasn't enough to tide me over, but it provided cold (piping hot?) comfort at least.
(P.S. I threw out the rest of the leftover tom yum, if anyone was wondering.)

Uneventful day commences, bio tut, lunch at don tojo (superb cheap-ish japanese don), HOI lect, then...

...this! It better be good, I'm missing The Simpsons for this.

Turns out much better than I expected. Met quite a lot of people here. Nothing like free pizza and pop to bring strangers together and chat. Got to meet some of the other residents here, and got a few mobile numbers in the process.

Here's a run-down (to the best of my memory):
8th storey - Saad from Syria, doing Masters in Pharmaceuticals.
7th storey - Maria (I think) from Mexico, on exchange from some well known Uni in Mexico (forgot spanish name), doing Communications, wants to transfer to NYU to do Photography.
5th storey - Kiyoko, from Japan but stayed in Singapore from young, doing International Studies at RMIT; Dion, her neighbour, from Tasmania
4th storey - Chee Wei from Singapore, doing Masters in Social Welfare(?).
Others: Jean (pronounced Dzj-ahn), some chick from some town at end of Great Ocean Road doing 2nd year Architecture, a mexican guy named George (pronounced Kyor-khe) doing Law.

As time passed, the crowd dwindled, and soon I found myself watching TV alone with Maria. Chatted with her inbetween commercials, and talked about a lot of things, about both our countries and other random stuff. Never got the chance to ask for her name again, but she did tell me quite a bit than I expected from a complete stranger. She mentioned that she was staying at 707, and that I could ring her if I ever needed to talk.

Hm, I might actually take up that offer someday.

Presenting...the spoils of war! A large supreme pizza I'm calling "Supper, Breakfast and Lunch".
Mmmmm, nothing like reheated pizza...

Oh and I dumpster-dived for the first time in my life! Well not technically dumpster-diving, as this framed pic was sitting near the refuse area. It was relatively clean and in good condition (save for a gap on the top left frame where it meets).
Any Arsenal fans or know someone who would want it? The title reads: Arsenal The Final Highbury Season 2005/2006, and I presume its the full team at that time. (Sorry for the blurry pic, stupid shaky hands)
